Naaman in Israel

Syria (Aram) was Israel’s most powerful neighbour during Elisha’s lifetime and was a constant source of trouble around Israel’s borders. When the Syrian army commander Naaman approached the king of Israel with a request to be treated for leprosy, the king of Israel interpreted this as a trick by Syria aimed at creating war.

Redeemed by God Without a Penny

Prophet Isaiah urges the Jews who were in captivity in Babylon to prepare for the return to Jerusalem. Hallelujah!!! The city that heathen armies defiled and destroyed will be rebuilt, to become strong, holy, and beautiful again (verses 1-2). The call to ‘awake’ means ‘realize your true value to God’. He is giving you a new opportunity to take your proper place of honor.
